Who are we?
Over the decades a couple of guys watched the style of men’s and boy’s underwear change. The comfort and durability of the white 100% cotton double seat brief sold by Sears, JC Penneys, Wards and others in the 1960’s and 70’s has been replaced in the past few decades by low rise briefs, bikini briefs, thongs, boxers and boxer briefs. While we welcome the variety of underpants now available for men and boys, we noticed the absence of a high quality, white, soft, comfortable, double back, full rise brief.
Nostalgia for all things vintage has exploded in our culture whether it be 50’s looking Harley Davidson choppers or torn Levis 501 jeans or the Beatle’s new Love album. This trend includes a fascination with vintage underwear so intense that old classic briefs of various brands sell for high prices in online auctions.
Baby boomers want to wear the briefs they wore as children or young adults. Young people and boys want to try something new that is hip, retro and cool—and above all comfortable--something that can be shown off in low hung jeans.
We have decided to give our customers the quality, style and comfort that they want. Trumpets please!
The Tiger Brief
A full rise brief with the vintage look of blue dashes in sizes for men and boys: in double back style or single back.
We found 100% rib knit cotton that stretches perfectly for comfort and is also durable. We located a craftsman in North Carolina who remembered how to make the blue dash elastic waistband that so reminds us of the 60’s and 70’s. We employed talented seamstresses who could sew briefs with perfection. We found models who show off Tiger Brief with the joy and pride that these products deserve.
